Since we just talked about the inspiring costumes of Marie Antoinette, I thought you might enjoy these editorial shots taken by notable photographer Annie Leibovitz. This French Twists Vogue shoot (May 2004) celebrates France’s most scandalous century, with Gemma Ward, Gisele Bundchen, Hugh Dancy, & Gerard Depardieu. All of the beautiful costumes in the first photograph were designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior Haute Couture…
And for another french twist, I am absolutely in love with Kerri Russell’s hair in this photo. Argh, I wish updos suited me! But I guess I would need a place or event to wear one too. Oh, as another side note, I saw Keri Russell in Mission Impossible III last night — loved her in Felicity and now in this more serious role, even if it was only short-lived.

Those images are absolutely gorgeous as much for the costumes as the photos themselves. And I love Keri Russell’s hair in that photo too, but I suppose since the days of Felicity she can do no wrong in my book!
