J Crew Spring 2009 Inspiration

J Crew, what are you doing to me? I just scooped up a small selection of final sale winter items that I have had my eye on and then they release this beautiful pastel palette of jacquard and playful patterns for the spring. The inspiration comes from Indian mosaic tiles, fabrics, traditional flower malas worn at Hindu ceremonies, and Indian embroidery techniques. You can play around in their studio and see for yourself.

Each piece looks incredibly soft, feminine, and of a perfect light palette for the spring. The days are getting warmer here as we seem to hit the spring season earlier in Houston. I actually cannot wait to get outside and play in the garden. But not in these lovely looks, of course.
