Thanksgiving table settings

November 9th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Last weekend I perused Martha Stewart’s website for bridal shower decorating ideas and came across a slideshow of Thanksgiving table settings. I particularly loved glimmer and shine as well as feather headdress because she incorporated the theme using atypical fall colors such as plum and a muted blue. Martha, you sure know how to entertain. Your local grocery store might sell these mini-pumpkins (I just purchased a slightly larger one for my mum’s pumpkin soup recipe at Kroger) and Michaels or Home Depot surely carry gold spray paint. I have also seen similar blue feathers at Texas Art Supply but again your local art shop or even Michaels may sell them too.

I wish our thanksgivings were this cute. It’s always so hectic at my parents house- the table setting always goes unnoticed…

Love the blue feather! It’s different, would never have thought of it.

Those are FANTASTIC! I always wish my family would go all out with settings like this, but mum and nana prefer less dishes and laundry to do, so we stick with small settings and paper napkins!

Beautiful settings! Oh how I love Thanksgivings in America. It will be one of the things I’ll miss in America now that I live in Australia. A wonderful day with family and close friends, tons of great food, and yummy dessert pies.
