Rachel Zoe’s Home

Stylist Rachel ZoeAfter a late night of work, I packed away my laptop and flicked on the “I die” show that my friends have been talking about. I think I’m hooked already! Besides the thrill of the vintage fashion hunt, a preppy newbie assistant who seems so lost (poor thing), the spending-tamer husband, and a peek into the celebrity stylist’s life, I enjoyed the few shots that we saw of Rachel Zoe’s house and studio. Shall we look a little more?

Listed at $2.595 million, the two bedroom West Hollywood home was reportedly sold earlier this year. The mid century modern home of 2,545 square feet features a plunge pool and spa, three bathrooms, office area, walnut floors, and wide open spaces.

For a stylist who earns $6,000 per day with little time to actually focus on her home, the low maintenance landscaping seems perfect. A translucent privacy fence wraps around the front and side of the house to maintain privacy.

The couple have chosen very sleek and minimal furnishing in this wide open floor plan. Even the polished walnut floors are bare except for the occasional hide.

With all of the galas, premieres, and events, I cannot imagine that Rachel Zoe has much time to entertain at home. However, the backyard is perfect for cocktail parties with the covered outdoor patio and pool area. Again the furnishing is kept to a minimum but perhaps this was the way it was staged for selling the home. I’ll have to watch more of the show to see if there is any difference in their actual daily living style.

The RealEstalker, who might just be my new obsession, gives an insider’s description of the home. Apparently Rachel Zoe and her husband originally purchased the home in 2001 for $914,090. Luxist claims that these photos below also depict Rachel Zoe’s home. Perhaps these are the “before” shots. What do you think? If they are, then I commend their renovations.
