We watched a mini marathon of Tori & Dean Home Sweet Hollywood tonight. What an endearing couple! They just moved into a newly renovated house in the midst of giving birth to their baby girl, Stella. I was curious to see what they would do with their Spanish style home since their Chateau La Rue makeover from the previous season was shockingly impressive…
The tufted chairs and headboards look like they have come straight out of the set of Mad Men. While this is not quite my taste, I appreciate the fact that they have a strong sense of style. The McDermotts enlisted the help of their friend, Suzanne, to spruce up the place. I couldn’t quite tell if she is a professional interior designer or just a devoted friend. I hadn’t watched the show until this past weekend while i was visiting family - i was instantly hooked! the kitchen and the sitting room off the kitchen were my favorite parts of the house. the dining room not so much, but i was definitely impressed by what they did in such a short time!

Isn’t their kitchen great? I love this show! I think they are such a cute couple and their little monkey Liam is adorable.

I actually thought their rental house was really cute. Their new house is a little too fussy for me, although I do love the kitchen. She’s crazy though, trying to get all that done in 4 weeks at 9 months preggers.
Denise Richards (can’t believe I am admitting that I watch that show) has a really pretty house also. The coral chairs in Tori’s nook remind of a really pretty chair in Denise’s house.
Gotta go so I can check out Monkey and Stella’s cribs.

All right, I had to come back. Liam’s room is really cute, but Stella’s room scared me a little. All that pink and those curtains. It looked suffocating. Am I crazy, or is it waaayyyy over the top?

Jen — Oh no, now you’re tempting me to watch the Denise Richards show. I don’t know why it’s so fascinating to watch the real lives of the celebs. Stella’s room was really pretty before they put everything in it. During one of the episodes they showed the crew putting her crib together. It looked great when it was just the crib and the wall treatment only.

Kylie, those curtains looked dangerous! I missed most of the episodes where they were working on the new house, so didn’t see some of the in progress stuff.
You should watch Denise, I love what I’ve seen of her house. A lot more laid back than Tori’s house, but much more to my style. A lot of white, some really cute mirrors.
