Does packaging sometimes appeal to you just as much as the product itself? I respect good package design because I know how much time and effort must go into making it just perfect. Here are some pretty little items…

I haven’t tried the Lollia items yet. Some of the packaging is a little fussy but there are many designs that I like, particularly the bottle of bubble bath. A long, hot bath with a good book is my idea of a pleasant evening.

I can speak from experience that the Thymes products are just as good as they look. My favorite scent is Kimono Rose because it’s light and calming — perfect for everyday wear.

And finally the Satu packaging that I have been eyeing at Anthropologie. Each bar of soap is wrapped like a little present. I love my Dove but this would be so much sweeter…

Maybe I need to fill my co-worker in on Kimono Rose. I could sure use light and calming!
I’m a complete sucker for packaging, and admit to buying things in the past for the presentation alone. Those details definitely make all the difference.

Hahaha, Jude — I forgot about your co-worker story. Yes, Kimono Rose would definitely help the “problem.”

Totally - I am an utter slave to packaging. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how great the product is if the packaging is blah. But what magic happens when you get a great product and great packaging too. That’s why you see Cowshed products in so many styled bathrooms in home mags - they got the packaging design right on trend.
