Ruffle Monday with Anthropologie

Ruffles from Anthropologie

I was pleased to see so many ruffled dresses and shirts in the latest Anthropologie catalog. And you know how much I love my ruffles (thanks, Jessie). It’s probably a phase but I’ll keep riding it out. My cream silk chiffon ruffled dress that I wore for my birthday dinner made me feel so feminine, just as the swallow’s tale blouse would. It was funny to flip through the catalog with Jon as he commented that some of the pieces feel like they have come straight out of our grandma’s closet. That’s just the cycle of fashion, right? At least we were in agreement about our favorite shirt of all — the fabiane blouse. Those sweet ruffles just about sum up my style.

It’s a busy week but I feel refreshed after such a relaxing long weekend of celebration, vegetable shopping at a farmers’ market, trying new yummy recipes (fig galette, japanese eggplant salad, and pancetta crostini all from this book), planting some vincas in our front yard, and listening to the 4th of July fireworks all night long from our bedroom window. Hope you enjoyed your weekend too.
