Just wanted to wish you all a happy and restful three days. I’m about to start my 4th of July weekend early. My lovely husband, Jon, is taking me out on a little surprise dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday so I’ve picked out my dress (yes, Jessie, it has ruffles) and will spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and taking a little time for myself.
I picked up these pretty peonies this morning, just before a beautiful bouquet arrived from my in-laws (thanks, Mom & Dad!). If anyone knows of a farmers market in Houston that sells fresh flowers, I would love to hear. It would be nice to keep flowers around in the house each week, not just when we have guests coming over. But today was an exception…
I’ll see all of you lovelies on Monday. Hopefully you can spend some time outside and enjoy the sunshine.

The flower markets on Main have fantastic flowers at very reasonable prices. The Farmers Market on Airline I think only have plants, not stem flowers. Hope that helps!

OOOh. Peonies are my fave as well. I bought some myself this past weekend at our farmer’s market. I managed to get 6 huge stems for $10.00 and she threw an extra one in for free!! Very cute earrings and for that matter, love the little pail, especially in the color!! So pretty! Enjoy your weekend!

Awww, thanks for the birthday wishes. You are all so sweet! We had such a lovely evening and Jon certainly made me feel very special. The dress? I tried to find a photo of it online and wished we took a picture on Thursday night. It’s a cream silk chiffon dress from BCBG with very subtle ruffles. Thanks for the compliments about the earrings too. Paige, I forgot about those flower markets on Main so thanks for the tip. Have a great week, everyone.
