Do you remember the lace mats featured in Blueprint earlier this year? I try not to hoard too many magazines but Blueprint is a keeper — for the content, exquisite layout, and font selection (appeals to the graphic designer in me). So last night I flipped through an old issue and was reminded by how much I loved the lace mats from Venucci. They’re not exactly practical but they are most certainly beautiful. You would need a contrasting table top to make sure they get the attention they deserve. Venucci has many more designs to choose from but of course the editors of Blueprint, with their impeccable taste, selected the best felt lace mat of the collection — the chrysanthemum.
And since I have many dear Australian friends and readers, guess what, Venucci is in Queensland!

Those are just lovely! I could never put them out if I had my in-laws over for dinner. My father in law spills on all of my linens! It’s inevitable! You made me miss Blueprint.
I really loved that magazine and was so sad to see it go. I loved the font selection they used in it, too.

I love Blueprint, I also seem to collect back issues. What I wouldn’t give for a fireplace! great suggestion, I am decorating my apartment, and your blog is really helping me with ideas

I have a stack of Blueprints I’ve saved without fully reading (I know, shame on me), so I missed this article. That wood table with the white lace mats and pink utensils is perfect!

This is an wonderful idea to design our contrasting table with lace mats . I too like the designs of these blue print mats. These mats are looking too beautiful to our tables.
