Since we’re all sitting at our computers while the heatwave slowly approaches, I think it’s time to talk about swimsuits. And this retro swimsuit from Abaete is irresistable (via the lovely Felicity at All Things Bright And Beautiful and Jamie at It’s a Jamie Thing). It’s very Miss Bradshaw, wouldn’t you say?
Miranda’s Norma Kamali swimsuit looked fantastic on her in red in the Sex And The City movie but I think the bill one piece mio would be oh-so-chic in white. And here is a new swimsuit designer on the scene: Marysia. Her 2008 swimsuit line has a touch of old Hollywood glamour, inspired by the styles of the 50s and 60s but paired with of-the-moment color options and thoughtful accents.
Lastly, the retro glam collection from Jantzen is turning heads. Their latest designs are a return to their original diving girls.

I’m so glad one piece suits are in! I bought one last year, but only wore it once. Hope it still fits when it comes time to put it on

These swimsuits are lovely. The style reminds me of the swimsuit that Rachel McAdams wore when she played the character Allie in the movie The Notebook. Although it was two pieces, the swimsuit looked so cute and retro, along with everything else that she wore in the movie.

I didn’t know that Urban Outfitters sold retro swimsuits too. I’ll have to check them out. And I completely forgot about The Notebook!

I love the movie The Notebook and what they wear. I have been looking for an retro looking swimsuit that is a whole piece. These are so cute and just the right thing.
