I finally watched the finale of Gossip Girl and surprisingly adored Serena’s bridesmaid dress. It’s definitely not a dress that I would consider wearing myself but it fit the role of a dramatic Gossip Girl wedding. And I wouldn’t expect anything less coming from their talented costume designers. Serena wore the Ralph Lauren ruffled fillipa dress (via The Dish Rag at LA Times). This would only work if you had one bridesmaid, don’t you think?
At our lovely wedding two years ago (pictured above), we opted for a fairly simple Nicole Miller charmeuse shirred strapless gown. Melissa (my sister) and Fiona (wonderful best friend) looked beautiful on the day and hopefully they actually liked their dresses. But since wedding season is fast approaching, I thought it would be fun if we did a little 27 Dresses chat:

Oooh, forgot to add. I have only been a bridesmaid once, fortunately the dress wasn’t too bad, nothing hideous but neither was it pretty. Certainly one to throw in the cupboard never to see the light of day again!

Aw, that’s sweet of you. Yes, that’s me with my sister and friend. We got married at a little estate in Bowral called Milton Park. It’s just so beautiful and quiet out there. I’m glad you didn’t have to wear a “27 Dresses” type of dress.
