Don't you just LOVE Donna Hay?

I'm actually from Sydney but now live in Texas. Never thought I would end up here but I guess that's what love will do to you :) Are you Australian too? I've seen Australian designers peppered through your posts.

Christy -- fried okra definitely makes me think of the south. I had never even SEEN okra before I came to Texas. Good luck with your meal tonight! And if you are ever down this way, ask your husband to try Tex Mex -- I don't know if I'd ever be able to live without it.

I too love cooking dinner, and I too have a meat and potatoes husband. I grew up in the southwest and love all the flavors of the area - he had his first echilada when we got married. Tonight I am introducing a new treat - fried okra. His mother told me that okra is definitely a southern thing, but I thought everyone ate okra! So, along with our meat and potatoes, tonight we will be having a southern comfort delight. Hmmmm.
