A touch of lime

April 4th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Nothing screams summer more for me than a glass of limeade. That tangy flavor pretends to quench my thirst but really it just makes me want more (try Martha Stewart’s recipe, it’s incredible). I know we’re still far away from the season of sunshine but I keep reading more about designers’ summer collections, which has inspired me to play a little wiith color. And maybe not the color you were thinking of…

A touch of time from Urban OUtfitters, White Elephant Vintage, Amy Butler, Thomas Paul, and JCrew

It started out with these apple bowls from White Elephant Vintage. Their Etsy store is treasure trove of lovely vintage pieces. I’m certain that these would work really well with the gallery collection over at Urban Outfitters. Setting the table? It’s a done deal. Try Amy Butler’s tree peony fabric to make some napkins or placemats. Another perfect summer addition to your home would be Thomas Paul’s damask pillows that are made from easy, breezy linen. And I couldn’t leave without adding an accessory. This time it’s a pair of pepper suede flats — you can get away with them in the summer, right?
