After longing for Project Runway last night with my friend Kelly, I remembered Sarah Jessica Parker’s star appearance at the beginning of the season featuring her new line called BITTEN. As Sarah Jessica says, “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right,” so her goal was to create a sportswear line that would be affordable for everyone. Here are a couple of her key looks…

Comfort can actually be stylish. These are clothes that you could wear everyday just lounging around, taking your dog for a walk, grabbing your morning coffee at your local cafe, or having a movie night at your friend’s house. What really impresses me are the BITTEN prices ($8.98 per piece — is that real?). Budget fashion is getting a second look, as Alia pointed out yesterday in the Pattern Play collection at Old Navy. And I’m all for it…
If you miss Sarah Jessica Parker’s more glamorous side, check out my previous post about furniture finds to recreate Carrie’s apartment on Sex and the City. Only two more months until the movie, girls!

It is really crazy that these clothes are all under 20 bucks!! I have yet to go to the store to check them out….I’ve been so lazy. But is it really 2 months???? I have a mani pedi, sandal shopping, then SATC movie viewing with my girlfriends! I can’t wait!!!

Alia, can I come too?
That sounds like the most perfect way to celebrate the movie release. And what’s even better is that you are in NYC, right? Totally jealous.

The quality of this line is amazing. It would be terrific at several times the cost. I salute Ms. Parker for an outstanding goal and its achievemant. A while back I discovered “Bitten” at a Steve and Barry store near Palm Springs. This store has gone out of business and I am sorry that it is no longer possible to follow the line elsewhere. This is a shame because this fine company (”Bitten”) surely deserves a more universal availability. S&B seemed to me to be a curious venue for a quality clothing line since it seemed to be geared to sports clothing and a young ultra casual customer. Ms. Parker’s line fully deserves a wider audience and I do hope that it will be available soon to those of us who have become fans. Looking foreward, MaggieO
