I was reading an article about the dynamic design duo of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams in Elle Decor magazine this morning, which features their brand new pet-friendly flagship store in Manhattan. This 11,000 square foot storefront showcases their “Relaxed Design” furniture — comfortable, classic, and afforable pieces with the design ethos that “you will still be in love with it 10 years from now.”

Can’t you see the blue Mira sofa in Victory Ford’s apartment on Lipstick Jungle? I think the Bacchus Demijohn Bottles would look incredible on a long wooden dining table holding bunches of wildflowers while the Park Lane jars would be quite striking on your mantle, especially if contrasted with a smokey grey wall color like Benjamin Moore’s wrought iron. The two chairs and Cedric Etagere are part of the new collection at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.

What struck me about this team is their dear love for pets. Yes, I’m a dog person and now they have won my heart over. They welcome pets with open arms in their stores, equipped with dog biscuits for all canine visitors. Perhaps their little French bulldog, Lulu, inspired their pet-friendly store vision. This relaxed attitude towards pets is just another reflection of their casual but classic furniture design.
While we’re talking about dogs, I might as well show you my dog collar discovery on Etsy recently. Lucky Fiona, Yuppie Puppy, and 3Poochys have cute collar collections that you won’t find at Petco. Do you think I can convince Jon? Our dear dog, Aura, would look great in the vintage-inspired Poolside collar by Lucky Fiona.

I can see that couch in my apartment! It’s so blue and vibrant! And yes I think you can convince Jon to get one of those dog collars! I’m about to get some for my Mom’s dogs…cause I have yet to have a little pooch running around with me. One day!
