Original gift tags

It’s almost that time of the year when the pastels make an appearance from the depths of my wardobe. It means that I’m ready for the season of showers. Baby showers, bridal showers, and just about any excuse to have a shower. When I give gifts, I often like to wrap them in creative ways. For example, I love to wrap my baby shower gifts in baskets that can be used to store toys or other things later. I’ve also seen bridal shower gifts wrapped in kitchen towels. Very clever.

Gift tags are fun to make yourself by layering different handmade papers and prints. All you need is glue, ribbon, and a hole punch and then you’re off to the party. But there are a lot of creative individuals out there who can make your life a little easier. I browsed the Etsy website and found these beautiful handmade gift tags.

Original gift tags

Pictures of Lily and The Purple Pear are the creators of these gift tags. Both have used such beautiful printed paper, mainly from the Amy Butler line, and a mix between decorative ribbon and twine. Owner of The Purple Pear, Catherine, is a stay-at-home mom who loves to explore her creativity in her moments of free time. I love to see people experimenting with their artistic side. Perhaps the shower season inspired her too.

Handmade valentine gift tags

These tags are just in time for Valentine’s Day, from Pictures of Lily and Pacokeco. When you just have a few words to say, a beautiful gift tag will beat a $4 card any day. But men, no cheating. We still want a deep and meaningful message.
