It sounds like Nicole Richie and Joel Madden had a baby girl yesterday and named her Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
There seem to be a lot of new babies around me. Well, I should say expectant mothers. One of the first questions we always want to ask is whether the parents have decided on a baby name. Sometimes I think I can tell what kind of names the parents will choose based on their personalities — traditional, conservative, unique, popular, or just out there. But I must say that recently I have been pleasantly surprised by the parents’ choices: Amelia, Zahara, Yuli, Parker, and Hudson. A great mix of names.
My sister- and brother-in-law are anxiously awaiting their little girl. Last time we checked they were still undecided about names, mainly because of the nickname factor. It can be a struggle because just about every name they liked had a shorter version that wasn’t so appealing. Hopefully Nicole and Joel won’t mind if people call their little girl Harley.
